Each song tells a story in verse. Some are more spoken, others are more sung. Some songs contain fictional characters, animal and human. All songs are made up of vocals, music and sound effects. They were recorded at Innovative Music Studios, NYC, 2010 – 2011.
Hudson Owen was born in Buffalo, New York, and grew up in Wilmington, Delaware. Music has always been a part of his life. He has played chromatic harmonicas and the saxophone. He is principal author of “Paris – A Musical of the 1920s,” about Americans in Paris during the Roaring Twenties.
“The eight years I have now written for Skope has afforded me the opportunity to access a myriad of musical styles and the artists within them. I think a part of me was convinced that I had seen it all. “Then I was assigned a feature on a gentleman named Hudson Owen and I quickly learned I was wrong; in that I have never seen anything like this before.” – From Chris West’s 2011 Article in Skope Magazine.
